VP Procurement

In this international dual-role you will utilize your experience with procurement best practices and project management tools & methodologies to drive business value in the roll-out the group procurement strategy defined by EDG Holding, as well as be the procurement lead for the Netherlands. The Netherlands accounts for ~60% of the total group revenue.

You will work in partnership with the various European countries to work on direct and indirect sourcing and procurement efforts achieving cost savings, managing supplier relationships and contracts as well as implement (digital / P2P) improvement projects to bring the procurement function to the next level. 

The role sits in EDG holding and you will report into the Head of Procurement. There is strong collaboration with other functional teams as Finance, Quality and various business stakeholders across the group.

Key responsibilities 

  • Identify, implement and manage procurement related improvement projects across the group  
  • Execute and implement strategic sourcing initiatives cross-country delivering bottom-line savings and other business value  
  • Identify (saving) opportunities through data analysis  
  • Maintain key group of large supplier relationships and monitor (contract) performance  
  • Roll-out of (digital) procurement strategy to develop and transform the procurement function, processes and policies

What do you offer:

  • Minimum of 4 – 6 years of relevant working experience in the field of project management and procurement  
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work closely with the senior management team as well as with entrepreneurs and small business owners

  • Pragmatic: problem solver with a can-do attitude, not afraid to take on a challenge  
  • Leadership: strong interpersonal leadership, presentation skills, convincing people with the right attitude in an international environment
  • Languages: fluent in Dutch and English
